XunZhi, Yin
Xunzhi was born in 1968 in northern China. Xunzhi loved to paint since he was little. He was fascinated by the unique characters and settings in Chinese fairy tales, such as the Journey to the West. After entering middle school, Xunzhi's talent in art was discovered by his art teacher Ms. Huiying Zu. She enabled him to receive formal training in painting, primarily in the form of contemporary Russian art. After graduating from middle school, Xunzhi studied art in the Qiqihaer Art School and Qiqihaer Teacher Institute. While studying at Qiqihaer Teacher Institute, Xunzhi felt that the stringent teaching method doesn't allow him to learn solid painting skills. He decided to leave college and become a self-supported painter.
To achieve his dream, Xunzhi left his hometown and went to Beijing. He self-taught western art history while supported himself by working part-time. Before long, XunZhi realized that Beijing's art industry is based on seniority - a young newcomer like him cannot break the glass ceiling. Xunzhi believed that he can achieve his dream with his talent in art and solid painting skills. Therefore, he left Beijing and started to explore other cities. In 1992, Xunzhi devoted himself to painting in Xiamen. From 1995 to 1996, Xunzhi hosted exhibitions in Singapore and Malaysia.
Currently, Xunzhi lives and works in Shenzhen. His paintings are sold internationally.
